Compare credit cards
Secured versus unsecured cards
If you have no credit history, some creditors may as for an amount of money to “secure” your credit. For example, you may have to give your bank $1,000 to get a credit card with them. This money is just in case you cannot pay the bank back for purchases made with the credit card.
