Director of Development & Communications
Row New York seeks a strategic, relationship-driven, and entrepreneurial leader to serve as its next Director of Development & Communications. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director will lead the organization’s fundraising and partnership strategy to ensure that Row New York has the revenue, relationships, fundraising systems, messaging, and visibility needed to advance its mission. This new leadership role is responsible for driving contributed revenue growth, managing a portfolio of major donors and institutional funders, strengthening Row New York’s external voice and case for support, and building a high-performing Development & Communications team.
Interim Institutional & Public Funding Support
Row New York is seeking an experienced institutional fundraising professional to provide immediate support writing grants and meeting public and private institutional deliverables. While our priority is someone whose immediate strength is high-quality grant writing and reporting, we are building toward a more comprehensive institutional fundraising function, so experience and interest in portfolio management, prospecting, and funder strategy is welcome. Support will be for three months initially with the opportunity to re-evaluate at the end of that period.
Interim Development Operations Support
Row New York is seeking an experienced development operations professional to provide interim, part-time support to our fundraising team through December 2026, with the opportunity to re-evaluate at the end of the year. We are looking for someone who can step in quickly, keep our systems accurate and organized, and ensure the operational side of the development team runs smoothly.
Adaptive Assistant Coach
The Adaptive Assistant Coach’s primary focus will be to coach participants in Row New York’s School Day Adaptive (SDA) program, and other adaptive and community programs as needed. The Assistant Coach will work at the Queens boathouse in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. An excellent candidate has experience or interest in working with young people with disabilities, enjoys being outdoors and on water, and is committed to introducing the sport of rowing to a broader community.
Manhattan Assistant Coach
The Manhattan Assistant Coach helps run the activities of high school student-athletes at Row New York’s Manhattan program site under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Head Coach. The Assistant Coach supports the coaching of a team of student-athletes in both on and off-water program activities after school and on Saturday mornings during the school year.
