INFORMATION WE COLLECT
There are two ways we may obtain information about you: (a) information you provide to us directly; and (b) information that we automatically collect. This includes information that identifies you personally whether directly (i.e., your name) or indirectly (i.e., information about your online use of this website).
A. Information You Provide
RNY collects information when you choose to share it with us, either on your own behalf or as a parent or guardian of a prospective or current participant in our programs. This may include when you submit a registration form, make a donation, make a purchase from our online store, provide us with an academic transcript, or otherwise communicate with or contact us.
- Information You Provide About a Participant In Our Programs. We may collect information about you or about a participant in our programs, including, but not limited to a participant’s name, contact information, biographical information, emergency contact information, academic information, medical information, rowing and athletic experience, income information, and professional or employment-related information.
- Information You Provide When You Make a Donation. If you donate to RNY, you will be asked to provide your name, billing contact information (such as your address and email address), and payment card or other payment information (such as via Venmo or payments by check). Our third party payment processor processes your online payment.
- Information You Provide When You Make a Purchase. If you make a purchase from our online store, you will be asked to provide your billing and contact details and your payment card information. Our third party payment processor processes your online payment.
B. Information Automatically Collected
Whenever you visit or interact with the website, we or our third-party service providers may use a variety of technologies such as cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, or other storage technologies to automatically or passively collect or receive certain information about your online activity.

- To contact you with information, newsletters and promotional materials from RNY;

INFORMATION WE SHARE WITH OTHERS
RNY does not trade or sell donor information collected online or offline. We share your personal information as described below.
- Service Providers: We may share your information with our third-party service providers if the disclosure will enable them to perform a professional, organizational, or technical support function for us, such as but not limited to, communicating with you, processing your program registrations, online store purchases, and donations, processing payments, providing analytics and interest-based advertising services or maintaining our records.
- Legal Matters; Safety: We may access and disclose your information to respond to subpoenas, judicial processes, or government requests and investigations, or in connection with an investigation on matters related to public safety, as permitted by law, or otherwise as required by law. We may disclose your information to protect the security of our website, servers, network systems, and databases. We also may disclose your information as necessary, if we believe that there has been a violation of any legal document or contract related to our programs and services, or the rights of any third party.
- Transfer of Organizational Assets: In the unlikely event of a merger with another entity, the information we have collected about you may be transferred to such entity.
- Other: We also may share your information as disclosed to you at the time of collection.
