Row New York’s year-round competitive program for high school students meets up to six days each week, providing more than 1,000 hours of athletic training and comprehensive academic support annually. This combination of rowing plus academics yields powerful returns.

of our high school participants achieved an SAT score of 1000 or higher in 2022

of our graduating seniors enrolled in college in 2022 (compared to 71% enrollment citywide) and all have completed their freshman year

Row New York youth frequently medal at local and regional regattas.

100% of our student-athletes pass our swimming test (compared to 64% of African American, 45% of Hispanic/Latino, and 40% of Caucasian children nationwide that have little to no swimming ability)

Our students spent 30 hours in college readiness workshops in 2022.

100% of our student-athletes exceed the physical activity level recommended by the CDC. We row and train 3-5 days a week, year-round for a total of 750-1000+ hours of exercise per year.

We are socially diverse. 78% of our youth participants identify as People of Color: 34% Latino; 9% Black; and 12% Asian, Native American, Middle Eastern, or other. The remaining 22% identify as White.

We are economically diverse. 81% of our participants row for free, with 33% of our youth coming from households earning $30,000 or less annually. The remaining 19% of youth whose families contribute financially to Row New York come from households earning $100,000 or more annually.
