Congratulations to Jareline Guerrero for her acceptance to Barnard College on a full scholarship!
Jareline is currently in her third year of a very successful rowing career with Row New York. In her very first race at the extremely competitive Mercer Lake Sprints in spring 2009, Jarenline’s novice boat won a gold medal, and she says she thinks of that race “as the stepping stone for both all the races now behind me and those that are yet to come.” Coach Previn Chandraratna adds that Jareline has earned numerous medals at the varsity level and is currently part of Row New York’s first ever varsity quad.

Jareline will graduate from Dominican Academy in June and begin classes at Barnard in September. As a pre-law major, she plans to study Philosophy and Political Science. When asked if she wants to row with her college team, Jareline’s response is, “I can’t imagine life without crew!”

Well done, Jareline, and thanks for helping to make Row New York the great team that it is!
