Director of Development and Communications

Row New York (RNY) seeks an energetic, highly organized individual to serve as our Director of Development & Communications and join the leadership team of Row New York. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position will help maintain and grow a broad base of income streams including individuals, foundations, and corporations with the goal of raising $2M in annual support for our rowing and academic programs. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven development professional to join a non-profit with a record of success as we continue to grow and help transform the lives of even more New York City youth.

Scholastic Rowing Assistant

Row New York seeks a positive and energetic assistant coach for the Scholastic Rowing Program run by Row New York at the Riverdale Country School.

Community Rowing Assistant

Row New York (RNY) seeks a positive and energetic Community Rowing Assistant (CRA). The CRA’s primary focus will be to coach participants in Row New York’s Masters and Adult Learn-to-Row Programs.  The CRA will also have the opportunity to coach Para-Rowing Programs, Indoor Rowing in physical education in NYC public schools, and within our Independent School Rowing League.

Academic Intern

Row New York seeks an energetic, detail-oriented intern with exceptional leadership ability to lead small tutor groups in our after-school academic program. This is an opportunity to develop teaching and mentoring skills with middle school and high school youth. The Academic Intern position is ideal for a college student who is interested in youth development, education, or nonprofit management. Graduate students seeking to expand their teaching experience are also encouraged to apply.

Coaches Corps 

Row New York seeks Coaching Corps for the year to start in the summer of 2014.  Coaching Corps will commit to a challenging and exciting year at the biggest rowing club in New York City.  Coaching Corps will work closely with middle school or high school students or para-athletes each day on either the Harlem River in Upper Manhattan or Meadow Lake in Flushing, Queens.  Coaching Corps Members will inspire, challenge, and transform New York City’s under-resourced youth and their communities by providing mentorship and fostering a love of rowing.
